Dune Tournament 2026 at Dice Tower West
March 11th-15th, 2026
The Landsraad invites you to join us at Dice Tower West 2026 for our annual Dune Tournament, held at the Westgate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This year promises to be the most exciting yet, with refined factions, balanced gameplay, and a competitive field worthy of Arrakis.
The Philosophy Behind the Changes
The Ix Fix may have seemed simple at first glance, but in truth a great deal of work went into playtesting, refining, and considering the broader philosophy of the faction. That same care has been poured into Richese Reforged for over a year.
We devised the Four Pillars of Dune as our guiding principles for playing and reworking the game. They were first referenced in the Ix Fix article, and now we are sharing them in full. By showing how we think and prioritize design choices in the Landsraad reworks, it becomes easier to understand why changes were made and where the old designs could, in fact, be improved.
Staying true to the Four Pillars of Dune, we have Reforged the Richese into a faction that must be taken seriously.
Tournament Factions
This year’s tournament will feature:
- The Original Six Factions: Atreides, Bene Gesserit, Emperor, Fremen, Harkonnen, and Spacing Guild.
- The Four Expansion Factions: Ixians, Richese, Ecaz, and Moritani.
- Richese Reforged: A complete rework of Richese, with an expanded Treachery deck, improved No-Fields, and new abilities that give them true battle strength.
- Ix Fix: A streamlined update aligning Ix with the Four Pillars of Dune design philosophy.
- Note: The Tleilaxu faction will not be included in five-player games.
Player Materials
These changes will be implemented in all tournament games. As always, we will provide the updated materials so players can simply show up and play, without worrying about supplies or logistics.
In years past, no player left empty-handed — we distributed free rulebooks, clarified faction cards, Stronghold cards, and even medallions for every House. This year, if funding allows, we will be offering a free Richese Upgrade Kit so you can Reforge your own games at home without making the pieces yourself.
The kit will include:
- An updated Richese player sheet
- matching No-Field tokens (0, 2, 3, 5)
- The five new Richese Treachery cards
- And, if possible, the three modified cards
We cannot promise this giveaway yet, but if confirmed it will be listed in the event description on My.CardboardEvents.com (accessible after purchasing a ticket for Dice Tower West).
Tournament Format
Multiple qualifying rounds will determine finalists.
The finals will feature a faction draft in standings order, ensuring fair and strategic faction selection.
Updated faction sheets, Treachery clarifications, and rule support will be provided to all players.
